Home "Improvements"

True to form, it's time for a post when I have an exam tomorrow.  So here I am.  Hey, I need a study break here everyone so relax.  I can see my mom tense up, but maybe it's just conditioning from high school when I told her that studying "just jumbled up the things I already know" hahaha.  Needless to say, she didn't buy it.  This post is to put on a few pictures of the table that I refurbed.

Before
After

I also made this table runner thingy.

I think that's it for the photos. I hate adding photos on this thing...anyone have any tips so that it doesn't add the photos at the beginning of the post every time?!?  ARGH!

  1. The table looks great! I add my photos very first thing and then I write my post around them. It is annoying how it puts them at the very top of each post.

  2. Sarah I am so impressed with that table and chairs! Way to go, it's a good thing you're down under or I'd be putting you to work (free friend labor) up here :P And now you must explain how you made the table runner because I must have one!

  5. hahaha you guys are hilarious. I am so NOT the crafty one to be giving the DIY tips!! This one was pretty tough so I'll number the steps so nobody gets overloaded:
    1) buy a bamboo runner and cut it to size, be aware that it may fall apart on the cut end so try and cut it a few inches longer to allow for some clumsiness...
2)look for some flat rocks around your yard. hehehe, or a little bag at your local hardware shop. Make sure they are flat, because this thing already weighs a ton.
3)get an adult to help you with the glue gun as it could be dangerous. glue those mothers on there and lastly
    4) cut up a sheet of felt and stick it under the bamboo so you don't scratch up your table. (keep in mind that it is pretty heavy and doesn't really move much further than to the side of the table when we eat, so if you need it cleared regularly I'd do it a lot smaller).

That's it!! hahaha. I'm flattered that you all like the runner since it took about 2.5 seconds that the 7 piece table took! :)

As to loading pictures, I honestly don't have a problem. I wonder if something is up with your blogspot? I just click the area i want to upload and picture and click the upload picture button and it puts it exactly where I wanted it. Weird.
